Turkey has two types of toilets, first is the clozet or alafranga thats the one we are all used to. second is the alaturka, which is a porcelain rectangle with two oblong foot-places and a sunken hole in the middle, i do not have to tell you what thats for hahahaha. on the more conventional bog there is a copper tube snakeing up the back and right to where it is needed and this is to wash your arse, sorry backside hahahaha. Toilet paper in Turkey is considered a luxery item so if you want to avoid using your fingers bring your own bog paper. Also the paper goes in the bin provided and not down the toilet. If you are desperate and need to use a public sh#t house, sorry toilet, then try to use the pay toilets, there is a small charge of around (us$0.25) so its better than shi##ing yourself hahahaha.
